Explosion Injuries Cruise Ship Passenger

On the morning of April 26, an explosion aboard a cruise ship injured one of the passengers and unleashed a brief episode of panic among the other passengers. The explosion was caused by a fire extinguisher that was tossed by a crew member into the back of a truck.

As the canister exploded it was sent flying through the truck’s window and impacted a man as he was getting off the ship. The impact laid he man out on the ground. The extent of his injuries is unknown, but he was taken to a nearby hospital.

Approximately a half hour later, a second explosion occurred when another canister was being unloaded by the crew. However, no injuries occured as a result of this explosion.
